Crestone Dream Council
392 E. Copper Ave, Crestone - call 719.256.5914 for directions
Dates for Winter/Spring of 2012:

January 15th, February 12th, March 18th, April 15th, May 13th
All on Sundays from 4-6pm

A Dream Council has been born here in Crestone following Mandaza's visit last Summer...and you are invited to dream into it. Mandaza tells us that many of the dreams we receive are intended for our communities. As we come together to share our dreams we honor the ancestors by delivering the message to the whole community and using it for guidance.

We have had a rich and beautiful time this Fall sharing our dreams and receiving the messages that come through them. This is a process we are discovering together as we awaken to the wisdom that comes through us in the form of sleeping dreams and waking visions.

These gatherings are held in sacred space and intentional focus. Babies in arms and older children that are willing and able to participate in dream sharing and respectful listening. (If you bring an older child please bring a quiet activity like reading or drawing to help them hang in there for the whole time) We will begin on time at 4pm so please arrive 10-15 minutes early. We encourage you to start (or continue) asking for dreams and writing them down to prepare yourself. Please bring your dream journal and dreaming tools with you. Even if you don't have a clear dream to share, please come anyway...working with other people's dreams can be very powerful as well.

Cultural forces and the action of systems are driving the implosion and also the transition. Workshop participants will help the facilitator uncover what is happening and how we can midwife outcomes that are balanced and sustainable.  This is the first time this enlightening workshop is being offered in Colorado.

Community Building Workshop: Living into a New Tribalism
Crestone Emerging Arts Festival ~ Pearl Stage ~ Downtown Crestone, Colorado
Sunday, July 24 · 2:30pm - 4:30pm

Through exploring vulnerability and authentic expression, we will co-cultivate an experience in building community based in the new paradigm.

This exploration is a heart-centered interactive exercise in service to building holistic communities. Based in authentic, spirit-led relating, we are hearing the cultural cry to rekindle the nuts and bolts of how we relate and co-thrive on our planet. One of these nuts and bolts is honest and loving communication. Re-learning how to hold each other in vulnerability is a cornerstone to co-creating a cultural legacy for our future generations. We invite you to engage the circle, held in a loving container, for us to experience our sacred connections. We require all participants to come in the spirit of openness. Kids may attend if they can engage with the topic and babies in arms.

Mandaza Kandemwa
We have the great honor and privilege of hosting African Shaman, healer and peacemaker, Mandaza Kandemwa, during his first visit to Colorado!  He will be sharing his magic and healing energy with the communities of Crestone and Boulder in many ways during his time here. Please read on to learn more about him and find out what we'll be up to during his visit.

About Mandaza
Mandaza is a spirit medium and medicine man from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. He was initiated through the tradition of the njuzu, the water spirits, and carries the Central African spiritual tradition of healing and peacemaking. He is known internationally for his loving presence and for his preservation of the old ways. He stands for Truth, Love, Justice and Peace in this world. For more information, please visit Mandaza.org

Supporting Mandaza & His Community
Each year, Mandaza leaves his home and family in Zimbabwe to share his healing energy and wisdom within our modern Western culture. These journeys create a bridge of compassion and support between our distinct cultures, as we understand each other more deeply. Mandaza serves a large community in Zimbabwe that is dependent on him for food, clothing, education, healing and spiritual nourishment.  Challenges are considerable as the people of Zimbabwe experience starvation, AIDS, HIV, drought, economic scarcity, unemployment and an unresponsive government. Donations given are to support Mandaza's work, family and community. The money that Mandaza earns while in the USA is the only money he earns in order to support his family and community in Zimbabwe. Please be generous.

Together, we can offer Mandaza's community a great gift by donating generously while he is here. All donations are tax-deductible and go directly to Mandaza for the support of his community. Donations are processed through Tatenda, a project of the International Humanities Center, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Tatenda means "we thank you" in Shona, Mandaza's native language. While Mandaza is in Colorado, we will be collecting donations on his behalf. Each event and activity he is offering will be an opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of his community. For more information about donations and/or to make a direct donation please contact Jo delAmor at 719.256.5914 or jodelamor@gmail.com

Mandaza at the Crestone Emerging Arts Festival
July 22-24, 2011

Mandaza will bring his magic to Crestone by participating in the opening and closing ceremonies of the first annual Crestone Emerging Arts Festival and holding Dare' (dah-ray) throughout the festival. This ancient and enduring tradition is a gathering of community to give and receive healing and, between us, to find the wisdom to proceed on a path of peacemaking. Dare' occurs when all members of the community- human and non-human, visible and invisible- gather with intention. During Dare', Spirit moves through and animates Mandaza and others present, creating portals to ecstatic states and deep wisdom. You are invited to spend time at the Dare' tent throughout the weekend to receive healings and Shamanic readings with Mandaza and to participate in ongoing rituals and prayer. Please consider making a financial donation for time and energy exchanged with Mandaza during this time.

4pm Friday Opening Ceremony, Pirate Stage

11:30am - 12:30pm Saturday, Pearl Stage Area
Mandaza will welcome all who are interested in Dare' by presenting the core essence of Dare' and leading us through a ritual to initiate this healing experience.

4:30pm - 6:00pm Sunday, Pearl Stage Area
All are welcomed to join Mandaza in a shared prayer for the heart and essence of Crestone as it serves the changes in the greater world.
